{"id":91,"date":"2020-07-29T11:18:10","date_gmt":"2020-07-29T09:18:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/siebententagsbaptisten.org\/?page_id=91"},"modified":"2025-01-20T21:23:28","modified_gmt":"2025-01-20T20:23:28","slug":"wer-wir-sind","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/siebententagsbaptisten.org\/en\/das-sind-wir\/wer-wir-sind\/","title":{"rendered":"Who are \"Seventh Day Baptists\"?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>We are Baptists keeping, honoring and celebrating the 7th day of the week, Saturday (Hebrew \u201cSabbath\u201d)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where do they originate from?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the middle of the 17th century, some Baptists in England split from their Sunday-keeping brethren intending to sanctify the Sabbath (Saturday) from then on<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In 1650 the first Seventh Day Baptist church emerged in London, still existing today<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In 1671, the first STB congregation was founded independently in Newport, Rhode Island, USA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From 1932 onwards the first STB congregations in Germany were founded by Ludwig Richard Conradi (1856-1939)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In 1939 they reached their peak with 533 members in 28 congregations or groups<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unfortunately, after the end of the war, their numbers steadily decreased due to a lack of leadership and missionary interest<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>kurzzeitig ausgestorben, gibt es heute wieder einige Siebenten Tags Baptisten in Deutschland (allerdings noch keine Gemeinden)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wir sind Baptisten, die den 7.
